Jet Set Radio HD Dated And Priced

None

Jet Set Radio Future was the reason I bought my original Xbox. I’d never had a chance to play the Dreamcast original, so the opportunity to get the sequel as a pack-in alongside the hardware itself was too good an opportunity to pass up. It’s a strange, psychedelic series with glorious cel-shading that, in a way, combines the mostly defunct extreme sports genre of games (think Tony Hawk) with action-adventure and rhythm titles. There’s a lot going on.

The original game, Jet Set Radio (released in the U.S. back in the day as Jet Grind Radio), is now getting an HD re-release on pretty much every device that can support it. It’s coming to the PS3’s PSN store on September 18 (September 11 for PlayStation Plus subscribers), the XBLA and Steam on September 19, and will hit the PlayStation Vita on October 16. Each version will cost $9.99 or its MSP equivalent (800 points).
