Early scans of Kinect’s user manual have finally revealed what kind of room dimensions will be required for the peripheral to work at peak effectiveness . And the news is bad if you live in a small house or apartment. In order for Kinect to pick you up and detect your movement accurately, a single-player will need to have at least six feet between themselves and the unit. The news gets even worse if you want to play with a friend, as Kinect will need at least eight feet of distance in order for the unit to recognize both players independently. So if you have a small home and you are looking forward to playing Kinect, it’s time to either knock down some walls or call a realtor!  |
