Konami Forces Metal Gear Franchise to Continue

Konami Forces Metal Gear Franchise to Continue

Kojima recently said that he thought that Metal Gear Solid V was a worthy end to the Metal Gear series. He said that there wouldn’t be another Metal Gear game, at least not another one he worked on. Well, he was right. Following this strange drama post Konami and Kojima’s falling out, Konami has decided that the Metal Gear franchise will continue on, despite Kojima’s wishes.

They have currently announced that they are in the process of planning a new Metal Gear game. Not only that, but they are conducting auditions for the main staff that will lead the development.

“Konami will continue to develop and distribute top-quality content in the Metal Gear series following Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. We greatly anticipate and deeply appreciate your ongoing support for Metal Gear,” Konami said.

What do you think? Do you think that Konami should continue the Metal Gear franchise? Let us know what you think in the comments.
