Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that SCEE was sending PlayStation 3s across the UK for educational purposes, Nintendo of America has announced some education-centric plans of their own. However, instead of focusing on core subjects, Nintendo wants to put DS consoles in the hands of art students by teaming up with the National Art Education Association.  This partnership will bring DSi XL units, along with copies of Art Academy, to NAEE classrooms around the country. No specifics were given about how many units will be given out, or how classrooms will be selected. |
