Don’t like the Ouya’s drab grey color scheme? Then update your indie console to a sleeker Limited Edition white version, which looks a lot more like an Apple or Nintendo device. The Limited Edition White Ouya will be available for the holiday season only, and even then, only in North American territories. Other than the color scheme, the White Ouya is basically the exact same console as every other model, although it does come with 16GB of internal memory , which is double the Ouya’s standard storage. As a result, the White Ouya is being sold for a higher price point of $129.99 as opposed to the standard $99.99 price tag of the original. The console will come with one controller, one HDMI cable, two AA batteries, and a power adapter.
The Ouya is still having issues getting off the ground. Its library has recently surpassed 500 different games available in their online store, but many of these games are indie affairs that provide only a small amount of enjoyment. Blockbuster releases by AAA producers are rare at best and some of the Ouya’s most enjoyed indie games are starting to migrate to other platform.
