Lisa The Joyful Trailer Confirms Summer Release

Lisa The Joyful Trailer Confirms Summer Release

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Lisa the Painful RPG was released on Steam on December of 2014. One of the stretch goals creator Austin Jorgensen met was the inclusion of an expanded campaign for the only female character in the game, Buddy ( Lisa takes place in a world where only men have survived the apocalypse). Now six months after release, Jorgensen has finally uploaded a teaser to his YouTube account, which reveals when we can expect the new content, and it’s sooner than you’d think – this summer.

The trailer begins with flashback from a blond haired boy’s perspective–possibly antagonist Buzzo–approaching the eponymous Lisa, who then transforms into Buddy. We later see another child, possibly Buddy, running through a battlefield wearing the final boss’s mask – a horrifying face interjects itself into the scene near the end.

No other details are shared, such as whether or not Lisa The Joyful is DLC or a sequel, and we don’t know how much the new content will cost. We’ll find out soon enough, however.
