Mad Catz To Produce Xbox One Peripheral Devices

Third party peripheral mastermind Mad Catz has confirmed that they will be working on several products for the Xbox One. What exactly this range of devices will entail has not been fully disclosed, but it has been said that more information will be revealed at this year’s E3.

Mad Catz president and CEO Darren Richardson commented on the opportunity, saying, “We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming launch of the Xbox One and excited about the opportunity to develop a range of innovative products to support the platform.”

Though I’m doing all I can to hold back on the TV remote jokes, I can’t help but wonder why Microsoft would accept a peripheral manufacturer after boasting about the system’s own tech so heavily. The new controller and Kinect have been described as cornerstones for the Xbox One, which would make similar products from Mad Catz relatively redundant.
