Looking for a reason to pick Mass Effect 2 up again on the PlayStation 3? Well, aside from all the included DLC, it looks like Mass Effect 2 will be given a huge facelift on the console, thanks to its use of the Mass Effect 3 graphics engine.  Producer Jesse Houston confirmed on the Bioware podcast that, “We actually created the engine for Mass Effect 3 and used that to make Mass Effect 2 on PS3. So we took the content, the story, and all of the other assets that made up Mass Effect 2, and we put it into the Mass Effect 3 engine.” If you want to check the game out before you decide whether the pretty visuals merit a purchase, a demo for the PlayStation Network will be available on December 21st. |
