Microsoft Reveals New Voice-Controlled 360 Dashboard

Microsoft Reveals New Voice-Controlled 360 Dashboard

None

Microsoft took some time at the E3 conference to show off the latest Xbox 360 dashboard. The new layout looks to be modeled after that of the Windows Phone 7, and Kinect owners will be able to fully interact with the dashboard using voice commands.

In addition to this new feature, Microsoft will be adding YouTube access and a Bing search function, which will allow users to easily search through the extensive Neflix and Hulu libraries, as well as the Xbox 360’s game library. It can also be used to buy games and download movies. The final addition will be the long-awaited Live TV, which will replace the user’s cable box and allow for instant HD viewing. It will have access to local channels and DVR functionality out of the box. More details on this will be released in the near future.
