Activision revealed earlier this week that a new Family Guy game is due out this year. It is among several other franchises Activision will be looking to push this year, including a new Spider-Man, Bakugan, and the Cabela Hunting series. According to Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg, Activision views their licensed titles as “strong franchises with passionate niche audiences that can achieve repeatable and profitable success.”  The last Family Guy game was released in 2006. It was published by 2K Games and developed by High Voltage. A developer for this game has not yet been revealed. Obviously, Activision will be looking to fill some holes in its release schedule after news that Tony Hawk bailed (we apologize) and Guitar Hero was axed (again, we apologize… profusely). |
