New Gaming Mouse Lets You 3D Print Your Own Buttons

Modularity is the wave of the future, as is 3D printing, and the two are coming together to produce a brand new gaming mouse by Roccat. The mouse is called the Nyth and it allows you to 3D print your own buttons. Though no official model has been shown, mockups show the mouse with some sort of side panel with slots in it. You can then print a button of any size, any shape, and even any push distance and slot it into that side panel.

This basically lets you build a mouse that you want for your game. Want a whole bunch of tiny buttons for an MMO ability lineup? Go for it. Want a very large trigger for your thumb for your shooter melee button? That can be done too.The entire lineup of buttons on the mouse can be swapped in and out as you like. Make the buttons thick like keyboard keys or thin like levels, it all adapts to what you want to do.

Unfortunately, there aren’t a whole lot of particulars about this new mouse. However, if you want some more information about the Nyth, and Roccat’s new upcoming peripheral projects, check out the official Roccat website.
