Boomer’s Adventure in ASMIK World is the first of three games set in the Asmik–kun series. Staring at a pink dinosaur named Boomer, also known as Asmsik-Kun in the Japanese version. This gameboy game was developed by Asmik, and released in 1989. Yes, the Game Boy is that old. The gameplay consists of a lot of digging. So much so that it would be fair to mistake Asmsik for a canine.
The gameplay itself is fairly simple, you control Boomer through a maze in each of the levels, with the goal of finding the level’s cross. With the cross, he can unlock doors that lead to the next level. It’s fairly simplistic, but to be fair, it was quite groundbreaking stuff back in the day.
It saw reasonable success upon release, earning the equivalent of 4 out of 5 stars on many review sites. Today, it can be found on abandonware websites and the like, as well as YouTube playthroughs and reviews.
Boomer’s Adventure in ASMIK World Premise
According to the various outlets, Boomer the dinosaur must traverse the eight-layer castle to defeat the dark lord. A dark lord by the name of Zoozoon. To do so, Boomer must dig, allowing him to trap enemies who fall into the holes, and find useful items scattered throughout the level.
