Star Ocean , a traditonal Japanese action RPG series with a storied and sometimes turbulent history , has a new entry on the way. Titled Star Ocean 5: Intregity and Faithlessness , it is set during Spacedate 537 along the series timeline. Although the game was announced earlier this spring, it was confirmed for release in North America and Europe during Square Enix’s E3 press conference today.
This entry features a more seamless world without transitions between exploration and combat. It will also feature fewer static cutscenes, using dynamic in-game scenes to tell stories while keeping the game moving along.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will launch on the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
