Victoria II is an in-depth political simulation set during the colonial era of the 19th century. The game was released on August 13, 2010. Victoria II was developed by the Swedish game studio Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. It is the second game in the series.
The game received generally favorable reviews from critics. And while the game is over a decade old, to this day it has kept very positive reviews from players. Critics praised its improved interface and tutorials which made the game more playable than its predecessor.
Victoria II Premise
Victoria II tasks players with leading a nation for a century, between 1836 to 1936. Players have a wide variety of nations to pick from with over 200 options and 8 different government types. At the start of the game, you can choose between every country that existed in 1836 and as the game progresses more options become available.
In this strategy game, players must manage their focus on their nation’s internal management. Nations will undergo many industrialization and social/political changes over the course of a hundred years. The ultimate goal is to build the player’s idea of a perfect society. There are thousands of historical events and decisions players must navigate their nation through to get there. But if you aren’t careful, these decisions can lead to the disintegration of nation states.
Victoria II has a number of changes that improves it from the original game. Task automation was added and the overall interface was streamlined. And a new feature was added to the military, reconnaissance. This gives a bonus to capturing provinces and defeating enemy armies

Victoria II Cheat Codes
Players can access various cheats through console commands. To utilize these cheat codes, the console can be opened by pressing the tilde (~) key. This will bring up the in-game console. Then you can type in which command you would like to use and press enter to get the effect you want.
It’s worth pointing out that the game continues running while the console is displayed and does not pause.

- debug influence – Makes every Great Power’s influence on every country fixed at 100. When deactivated, all influence levels return to normal.
- debug invent (invention) – instantly get chosen invention.
- debug market – Turns on/off a log of price changes.

- debug yesmen – The AI accepts any deal with the player or other AI players.
- election – Starts common elections right now.
- fow – Turn on/off fog of war.
- goods “XXX” – Gives XXX goods to player plus the same amount of money (Warning: large amount of goods lead to economic problems.)
- inc – Short version of instantconstruction. Doesn’t affect the AI.

- Leadership “XXX” – Gives XXX leadership points to the player.
- militancy [level] – Changes militancy level. Try positive and negative values.
- militancy [province] [ideology] – Sets high militancy for pops at location and specified ideology.
- Money “XXX” – Gives XXX money to player.
- Plurality “XXX” – Sets XXX Plurality Level from 1% to 100%.
- Prestige “XXX” – Gives XXX prestige to player.
- reorg – All units in got 100% organization and full strength.
- researchpoints(rpoints) [num] – Adds specified amount of research points.
- revolt [ province id] – Rise all the valid rebels of the country that controls [province id] (use twice).
- showprovinceid(provid) – Toggles province ID visibility in tooltips.
- spawnunit [unit] [province id] – A [unit] appears in the province specified at 0 organization and full strength. In case of a land unit, the soldiers will come from a random province.
- suppress [num] – Adds suppression points to your country.
- tag [TAG] – Change the player country to the one specified. The [TAG] part must be in caps, and more than 1 change “sleeps” the AI of the affected country until reload.
- teleportselectionto(teleport) [province id] – Teleports currently selected unit to location.
- upperhouse – Instant upper house reelection.
