Niantic Is Working “Crazy Hours” Fixing Pokemon Go

Niantic has finally responded to all of the desperate, furious, helpless, woebegone Pokemon trainers who aren’t having fun with their free-to-play game. Pokemon Go ‘s latest update, if you didn’t hear, removed the “three-step” tracking system which was more confusing than helpful for most users. The tracking system isn’t gone for good, though, Niantic is just doing a little tweaking. “We have removed the ‘3-step’ display in order to improve upon the underlying design,” Niantic states on the official Pokemon Go Facebook page. “We will keep you posted as we strive to improve this feature.”

As for third-party tracking sites like Pokevision, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Niantic explains that those sites were adding undue stress to its servers, as data was collected directly from Niantic by Pokevision and similar tracking sites. The post concludes by stating that the team is still working around the clock to get Pokemon Go out to the rest of the world. “We have read your posts and emails and we hear the frustration from folks in paces where we haven’t launched yet… We want you to know that we have been working crazy hours to keep the game running as we continue to launch globally.” In other words, chill out. The game is still brand new, there are still kinks to work out, and (for most of you) it’s free, so just… chill out.
