Improvements, Trading Coming to Pokemon Go

Improvements, Trading Coming to Pokemon Go

Niantic had two goals with Pokemon Go: for players to get outside and walk around and for strangers to become friends (or else friendly rivals) by playing the game together. Even if judged by those two standards alone, nevermind its chart-smashing popularity, Pokemon Go can be counted as a huge success. This simplistic AR game has taken the nation by storm, and will be rolling out soon across Japan and Europe. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, this is just the beginning for Pokemon Go , and aspiring trainers can expect some big changes and improvements in the near future.

One of the features we’re most excited about is the ability to trade Pokemon with our friends. Hanke describes this as a “core element” of the Pokemon series. Hanke also noted that most of the app’s core elements will be evolving and improving with time. Right now, they only exist in their “very most basic versions,” he said (via Business Insider ). In addition to trading, soon we should see some changes and improvements – even some added functionality – for Poke Stops and gyms. You’ll want to be on the lookout for these impending updates, as Niantic promises that it’s working on Pokemon Go ‘s battery consumption issues as well. As soon as we catch wind of an official schedule for these updates, we’ll be sure to let you know.
