Nintendo Reveals Its Gamescom Plans

The most recent Nintendo Direct video was primarily focused on their 3DS lineup, leaving Wii U fans with a stark four titles to go on. Luckily, Nintendo today confirmed that the Gamescom 2013 lineup aims to balance out their hardware emphasis with a welcomed round of Wii U coverage. Specifically, Nintendo has confirmed what playable demos we can expect to see at the European event.

Of course, they haven’t left the 3DS out to dry; attendees will get their hands on Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy as well as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds . However, the meat of Nintendo’s presentation lies in their promising array of Wii U demos. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 , The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD , Wii Party U, Super Mario 3D World, Wii U Karaoke U, Mario Kart 8, and Sonic Lost World are all slated for a Gamescom debut.

Gamescom 2013 will commence on August 21 in Cologne, Germany.
