Nintendo Systems Getting Doctor Who Games

Nintendo Systems Getting Doctor Who Games

None

It seems like the US is always getting the short end of the stick when it comes to Doctor Who video games. First, we had to wait for the first two Doctor Who: The Adventure Games to make their way overseas, being charged five dollars for the titles that were released for free in the UK. Now, both the Wii and DS will be getting Doctor Who titles, but only “in the UK, Australia and other select European territories,” according to MCV.

Both Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth for the DS and Doctor Who: Return to Earth for the Wii will feature the likenesses of the current Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companion Amy Pond (Karen Gillen). Publisher Asylum’s Simon Bailey states “We are incredibly excited to be collaborating with BBC Worldwide on these two new games.” He continues “It is our firm belief that the franchise has massive potential on the Nintendo DS and Wii formats and it’s an honour to be bringing Doctor Who video games to the show’s huge fan base.” Unfortunately, there are also Doctor Who fans in the US who will have to continue waiting and watching for news of these titles coming stateside. We’ll keep you posted on any developments.
