According to EA Games EVP Patrick Söderlund, Battlefield 3’s Premium service has gotten over 800,000 signees within its first two weeks. The figure marks for roughly 5% of Battlefield 3’s current monthly active user base. Speaking to USA Today, Söderlund said that EA is “very pleased with the performance” of Battlefield 3 Premium thus far. When asked if EA would pursue similar “premium” services for future titles, Söderlund said that it’s still too early to say anything definitive, although he did concede that things are looking “very promising” at the moment.
