For a few months now we’ve known that Sony was going to develop a premium side to PlayStation Network that was going to cost money. Today, at the Sony press conference PlayStation Plus was revealed. True to their word, features PlayStation owners already enjoy will remain free; however, new features such as early demo and beta access, free games (minis and PSN games), and other services as of yet unrevealed, will require an annual subscription of $49.99, or a 3-month membership for $16.99. PlayStation Plus is set to launch later this month, with new content coming to the service on a monthly basis. ![]() |
