In a brief discussion about the rise of online gaming on Bloomberg Television’s Bloomberg West, Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley talked about how SOE is helping Sony with the PS4’s launch window, revealing in the process that Planetside 2 will be coming to the PS4 in early 2014 after DC Universe , which will be available on the PS4’s launch day . Planetside 2 is one of the games I hear about that seems to scratch a very particular itch of mine, being the need to participate in epic-scale conflict in a single instance. I’ve never been able to play the game since it came out until recently, when I finally got a better laptop.
However, even with having significantly better performance than my previous laptop, I soon discovered that I can only play Planetside 2 on the lowest graphics possible to get a playable framerate, which caused many of a figurative tear to be shed.
