Storm8 has proven to be one of the industry leaders in mobile game devolvement, and now looks to expand its operations by including a publishing division for up and coming developers.
Storm8 CEO, Perry Tam, recently stated, “Storm8 has mastered the art of developing and distributing enduring mobile games. We have amassed more than 50 million monthly active users who are always eager to try out new games. With Storm8 Publishing, our goal is to select high quality games that our audience will enjoy.”
One of Storm8’s bigger claims to fame was its hit title Tower of Saviors , garnering over eight million downloads. The company launched in 2009, and has enjoyed global success with many of its games totaling over half a billion downloads combined.
Tam continues to tout the new publishing venture and points to the huge fan base at their core. “Storm8 users are also some of the most enthusiastic and engaged mobile game players in the world. In 2013 alone, Storm8 consistently had at least 5 games in the Top 100 Grossing list. Together with our partners, we will launch even more mobile games that we hope will remain in the top of the charts for years.” He says.
The program kicks off with re-launch of Tower of Saviors, now to be named War of Dragons for western markets.
