PS Vita Gets YouTube App Today

PS Vita Gets YouTube App Today

None

At long last, Sony has brought YouTube to the PlayStation Vita. Starting today, the promised app will be available as a free download to Vita owners, bringing its ever-growing library of epic fails, kitties, and music videos.

So far, only the U.S. PlayStation Blog has confirmed the app’s release, though an official EU PlayStation announcement should be coming shortly.

Sony has listed a handful of “key features” for the app, including recommended videos, video search, viewing history, and favorites support. In addition, two modes of viewing videos, small screen and full screen, will also be available. The app will support up to 720p HD as well.

This all sounds fairly basic, sure, but I have a feeling Vita owners are just happy to finally catch up with the rest of the world when it comes to checking out videos on the go.
