Rockstar enjoys going big and pushing boundaries. On its official website, the open-world pioneers detailed the assortment of goods that players will receive if they purchase the Special or Collector’s Edition of Grand Theft Auto V. The Special Edition of the game will come with two special guns that will be stocked in the gun shop of the game. Players will be able to pick these up at no additional cost. The guns are the .50 caliber pistol and the Bullpup Shotgun. And if players want to get up close and personal, a hammer acts as “a brutal melee weapon.” Players that pick up the Special Edition will also receive a 20% discount from clothing stores within the game. Along with just a discount, special edition owners will receive special pieces of clothing as well as tattoos. Each main character will receive one special outfit a piece. Along with just extra accessories and outfits, players that have the special edition of the game get to partake in the Stunt Plane Trials. These trials take the form of five challenges that will have players zipping through “mountains, deserts, oceans, and cities.”
The Collectors Edition of the game will include everything the Special Edition includes plus a few extra goodies. Collector’s Edition owners get special characters for Grand Theft Auto Online. Niko Bellic from GTA IV and Claude and Misty from GTA III will be playable to CE owners. A collection of unique cars also will be unlocked in the main game for players with the top tier version of the game. The CarbonRS sports bike and the HotKnife hotrod will come stocked in a special garage. If players take to the online mode, they will be able to use the Khamelion electric car. Grand Theft Auto V releases on Sept. 17. The Special Edition costs 79.99, and the Collectors Edition costs 149.99.
