Back in December 2010, Take-Two Interactive filed a trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office for “Rockstar Films.” That trademark has now been approved. In the not-too-distant-past, Vice President of Rockstar Dan Houser stated that, “If we were to make a movie, we would like to make it ourselves… So at least if it is bad, we can know we failed on our own terms.” Could this trademark be Rockstar’s first step onto Hollywood’s silver screen?
