Shuhei Yoshida Swears The Last Guardian Is Still Being Made

In a recent interview with Gamesindustry, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, once again swore that everyone’s favorite non-existant game, The Last Guardian , is in development. After asked whether or not it was weird to introduce a PS3 title so late in the console’s life-span, especially with the PS4 coming out, Yoshida re-iterated the sentiment that Sony is just waiting for the proper time to introduce the game again , stating, “So, we’re waiting for the right time to re-introduce The Last Guardian in an appropriate way. I can’t… Well, the game is in development, and it’s well staffed, and Ueda-san is here, working – even though he’s not a Sony employee, he’s dedicated to the product. But we’re not ready to update yet.”

Yoshida also said that reports of the game being on “ hiatus ” were greatly exaggerated, and went on to say that wouldn’t be the terminology that he would use. “Hiatus, I never… It was Jack Tretton! He used that term, and I said no, hiatus is misleading. It was a hiatus in terms of releasing new information. The game has never stopped – the team has always been here. They’re going through the re-engineering of the game, so the team size is smaller, because it’s more engineering focused right now.”

Long story short, Team ICO has apparently always been working on The Last Guardian this whole time! If that’s the case, where the heck is the game!? We want to see that griffon die and then cry for like a week because of it.
