Slim Xbox 360 Sells Better in Japan

Slim Xbox 360 Sells Better in Japan

None

While everything is known to be bigger in Texas, apparently smaller is the way to go in Japan. According to 1up, the Media Create sales data for the week of June 21st through June 27th showed a remarkable increase in sales for the often lagging Xbox 360. Selling 17,370 units, with about 15, 000 of that number being attributed to the redesign. With this, the system has vastly improved over the previous week, which saw only about 2,000 Xbox 360s leaving shelves.

This is a pretty impressive feat considering the redesigned console officially went on sale halfway through the week on the 24th. However, even with its increased sales, the Xbox 360 still fell behind the PS3, which sold 19,578 during the same week.
