Some Mass Effect 3 DLC Not Coming to Wii U

Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U was, supposedly, going to make up for it’s later release date by including a lot of the DLC that other console owners had to purchase separately. To an extent, this is true, but unfortunately a lot of the DLC is still missing. ME3 for the Wii U will include the Extended Ending, Resurgence, Rebellion, Earth, and From Ashes expansions, but the Omega and Leviathan expansions will not be included. Not only that, but they won’t be purchasable on the Wii U eShop either. Wii U owners will simply have to do without either of these expansions, which are some of the biggest and most impressive expansions the game has to offer.

In addition to the Omega and Leviathan DLC packs, EA also has no plans to release the Retaliation DLC or any of the weapon packs. When asked if the Wii U edition of the game would get any of the future Mass Effect DLC, EA said “Never say Never” which may be a sign of good things to come. However, it may also simply be EA attempting to alleviate fan outrage. Either way, it’s looking as if Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U will be only half the game that it is on every other platform.
