Sony’s certainly seen some major changes in the last few days. The resignation of Phil Harrison is not the only executive change we’ll see. S ony Computer Entertainment America will also be shaken up as they announced today the new executive appointments of Robert Dyer to Senior Vice President, Publisher Relations, Ian Jackson to Vice President, Sales and Sally Buchanan to Vice President, Human Resources.
These three positions are vital to Sony’s operations and will take effect in March and April 2008 and report directly to SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton. The changes were made in order to further the company’s efforts in sales, merchandising, cooperative marketing, recruiting and publisher relations. Sony really wants to make a big push after winning the format wars and now seems to be poised to challenge Nintendo and Microsoft on the North American gaming front.
