Sony’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune movie has lost its director Neil Burger.
No reason was provided for Burger’s departure, who is responsible for directing Limitless .
Furthermore, Sony has hired Marianne and Cormac Wibberley (from Disney’s National Treasure franchise) to re-write the script, with the firm reportedly unhappy with the current state it’s in. Sony is ruling out the possibility to bring in a new director until the new script is completed.
Sony’s movie adaption of Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 3 exclusive also saw director David O. Russell ( Three Kings , The Fighter ) quit the position back in 2011.
