Sony’s PSN Director Steps Down

Sony’s PSN Director Steps Down

None

Susan Panico, Sony’s North American PlayStation Network Senior Director, has reportedly stepped down from the position after almost five years on the job. Panico has been a part of the PSN since it was launched in 2006 and has had her hands in every major launch. And fiasco.

Last year, for instance, Panico was a part of the team that handled the infamous PSN hack, which put an estimated 70 million users’ credit cards at risk.

Patrick Seybold, one of Sony’s spokesmen, did confirm her departure but wouldn’t comment on the reasons behind her leaving: “We can confirm Susan has left SCEA. We thank her for her considerable contribution to our business and wish her every success in the future.”

There’s also no word yet on who will be Panico’s successor, but there has been a recent reshuffling of directors over at Sony. We hope they figure things out soon.
