Take-Two Cuts Staff Members

Take-Two Cuts Staff Members

None

Take-Two subsidiary studio 2K Czech has received some bad news today. They were told to “realign their resources” by their parent company. This will allow them to “streamline the development process, reduce costs, and maximize studio performance.” That’s all just a very emotionless way of saying people will end up losing their jobs.

Take-Two has laid off about forty staff members across both of its 2K Czech studios, and has officially said they believe it will benefit the studio in the long-term. In the short term, however, there will be a lot of people out of work.

Now, you might think that a reduced labor force would set back their development plans. However, this is not the case. Everything continues onward, right on schedule, with fewer people doing more work. Let’s hope this doesn’t turn into another Team Bondi situation.

2K Czech is known for the Mafia franchise, Top Spin, Hidden & Dangerous, and Vietcong. If those titles don’t sound familiar to you, then you can pretty much figure out why they were in need of layoffs.
