Team ICO Collection Made Official

Team ICO Collection Made Official

None

After months of speculation, and even a few leaked retail listings, the long rumored Team ICO Collection has finally been made official. Just to ensure the announcement couldn’t be misconstrued as rumor or speculation, Team ICO’s director Fumito Ueda himself delivered the news.

While the collection will include the things that most would expect, both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, HD visuals, and trophy support, some unexpected things were also announced. For instance, both games will have extensive retexturing done and will run at a solid 30 fps. The version of ICO in this collection will also have the European ending, which is widely considered superior to the one we got in the US. Last but not least, the collection will also come with 3D support, meaning those colossi will now be even more imposing. Currently, the release window for the game is Spring 2011 and there has been no official word on the price.
