Sometimes the end is really the beginning. Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones series is a good example. The last episode for this season, The Ice Dragon , will come out on November 17. However, its impending arrival means the distribution of something for free, the start of something that will hopefully be a new tradition, and a physical release announcement.
First, we’ll start with the freebie. The first episode of Game of Thrones, Iron from Ice , is now free for all platforms. Think of it as a means of enticing people into the series right before the end.
Especially since the November 17 launch date for The Ice Dragon means Telltale Games is doing something new. The last episode will be released on every platform on the same day. PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS players will all get to enjoy it at once. This is new for the company and hopefully something that will happen again.
Finally, physical copies of Game of Thrones will arrive in stores on November 17. For $29.99, you can get the complete story on a disc for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One.
