It turns out that the newly unveiled sixth Ace Attorney game, is not just going to be a spin-off. This game, which will take place 100-150 years prior to the current Phoenix wright series, will star Phoenix Wright’s ancestor in the Meiji era of Japan. It will be the beginning of its own series of games, and this is the first installment.
It’s not even certain that gameplay in this new Ace Attorney will mirror Ace Attorneys of the past. “I can’t say anything about that for now. However, the image and feel behind its play will be quite different from all the other Ace Attorney games up until now,” said series creator Shu Takumi.
