Thomas Was Alone Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold

Thomas Was Alone Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold

Last last week, Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell announced over Twitter that his game has now sold over 1 million copies. The game originally launched on the Mac and PC platforms way back in 2012 before making the jump to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita last April. Bithell clarified that the increased sales numbers are due to several discounted bundle promotions that have been offered over the course of the last several months.

Thomas Was Alone is an indie puzzle platformer that takes place within an altered computer mainframe. The game has been praised by critics and is solely responsible for making Mike Bithell a household name in the industry. Bithell is currently working on a brand new indie stealth game called Volume . This highly anticipated title is expected to launch on PC, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One later this year.

It’s always great to hear when an indie game is selling well. In the case of Thomas Was Alone , this is especially awesome because the game has some very intriguing qualities about it. I definitely look forward to Volume and other projects that Bithell will be working on in the future.

Have any of you had a chance to play Thomas Was Alone yet? If so, please feel free to let us know what you think about the game in the comments section below.
