Titanfall Will Have Free and Paid DLC; Season Pass Confirmed

Titanfall’s release is soon to drop next week, with Dark Souls II dropping on the same day. Titanfall is said to be the one game that’ll really push the Xbox One, especially since the console’s latest software update came out yesterday, fixing a lot of social interaction issues that users were experiencing.

In an interview with GameSpot , the co-founder of Titanfall’s developer, Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella confirmed that there will be both free and paid DLC for Titanfall . He also confirmed in doing so that there will be a season pass available for the game, something that was previously unknown a few months ago . Zampella is also adamant that there will still be no micro-transactions in Titanfall , something that I’m personally relieved about.

“We’re going to do paid DLC,” Zampella stated to GameSpot. “We’re also going to do free updates. There are things that we want in the game that we didn’t get to ship in the final game. So we’ll add private matches and things like that for free. There will be some paid DLC. We’re going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it’s a deal. We’re not going to do microtransactions. You just buy it up front, and you get a better price.”

Recently, the abilities for both the Pilot and the Titan in Titanfall were leaked on NeoGAF, some of which may have already been witnessed in the game’s recent Beta . What’s more, Titanfall’s port to the Xbox 360 is “ coming along really well ,” as what was expressed Titanfall producer Drew McCoy.

Titanfall will be dropping onto Xbox One and PC next next week on March 11 in the US, March 13 in the EU and Australia, and then March 14 in the UK and New Zealand, followed by its Xbox 360 release on March 25 in the US and March 28 in the EU.
