Having discovered yesterday that a printing error had led to a great number of unusable Uplay Passports included in new copies of Driver: San Francisco, the publisher has since pulled the Uplay Passort requirement from the game. Purchasers of Driver: San Fansisco are urged to either purchase the passport through the marketplace (which is now available at no charge) or to activate their two-day trial period, which has now been extended indefinitely.
Those who go the free trial route will find that their trial has 999 hours remaining, a number that does not decrease with time and, while it might be frustrating to have to tell the game “no, I don’t want to activate my Uplay Passport” every time it boots up, it certainly beats the alternative of having multiplayer locked away from paying customers. ![]()
