Confusing rumors have been flying around about Kazuo Hirai’s supposed promotion to the President and CEO of Sony Corp. A while back, we heard whispers of his promotion through a Japanese business magazine, but Sony went on record saying nothing is official and that no announcement regarding his promotion was made. 
What does this mean for us as a gaming community? We aren’t totally sure. Kaz, of course, has had much experience with the video game end of Sony’s business and he has named gaming as one of Sony’s core electronic businesses.
