Watch_Dogs 2 is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15. Today at Gamescom, Ubisoft revealed that online multiplayer will integrate seamlessly into the open-world single-player player experience, but it’s totally optional. For those who partake, multiplayer will come in a few different flavors. You’ll come across various players in online mode, with whom you can team up to take on various multiplayer missions. You’ll compete for high scores as you work together to complete various objectives, or you can just explore and play in the Bay Area together.
PvP will also play a big part in Watch_Dogs 2 ‘s online mode. Hacking Invasions are back from the original Watch_Dogs . You’ll be tasked with extracting a certain amount of data from other players before they can detect you and take you out. You’ll be protecting your own precious data as well. Additionally, if you stir up too much trouble and chaos while playing, you could rack up a bounty. If you become a wanted man or woman, up to three other players can invade your game to take you out and claim a prize. Of course, if you manage to take down your pursuers, you’ll claim a much larger reward. We can’t wait to get our hands on this game and try it for ourselves.
