Basketball fans were excited because the other day, EA tweeted that a brand new installment in the NBA Jam series would be coming. Unfortunately, this was just a scam, not a scam by EA mind you, but a scam by some prankster that had unauthorized access to the EA twitter account.
“Yesterday, there was unauthorized use of the @nbajam Twitter handle,” an EA representative said. “We do not have any announcements to make about NBA Jam at this time.”
But what’s most odd? The tweet hasn’t been removed. It’s still up there for everyone to see. It doesn’t take much to remove a tweet from an account. Just hit the delete button. So EA has chosen to leave it up there so that… people get confused we guess? Or maybe there’s something more to this tweet than meets the eye?
… or maybe we are just crazy gaming conspiracy nuts wearing tin-foil hats.
