Today marks the launch of the Zune HD, a reboot of Microsoft’s handheld media device. The Zune HD is set to compete with Apple handhelds, as it can stream HD radio and video (720p) and has a touch screen and a motion-sensing accelerometer. What’s more, Microsoft has confirmed that the platform as well as the Zune Marketplace will support games in the near future. According to an IGN report, full 3D titles for the Zune HD already slated for release “later this year” include Project Gotham Racing: Ferrari Edition, Vans Sk8: Pool Service, and Audiosurf Tilt.
