One of Amazon’s distributors has seemingly revealed the release date and price for Nintendo’s Wii U.
VPD, a distribution company with its clients ranging from Amazon to Blockbuster, said on its website that the console is due for a release on November 11.
The firm also apparently confirmed the price of the platform, as well as unveiling three separate SKUs:
- WIIU SYSTEM – GM – 11/11/12 $249.99
- WIIU SYSTEM W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $299.99
- WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $349.99
The higher price point for the second and third SKUs is most likely due to an extra controller or/and game being bundled.
The listing’s authenticity, meanwhile, may remain a question for some but the listing itself can only be viewed via a trade account, undoubtedly adding credence to the release date and price mentioned for the Wii U by the website.
