Angry Birds is a phenomenon. A crazy, worldwide obsession that has led to countless productive hours lost around the world. However, if you were wondering exactly how wide-spread the madness is, we’ve now got some hard multi-platform numbers. Across all consoles, mobile devices, and tablets, Angry Birds has generated 100 million downloads, making it the most-downloaded digitally distributed game ever.  Although distribution among Angry Birds-enabled devices was not given, Roxio executive Peter Vesterbacka told attendees that he sees a future in which consoles are obsolete and tablets dominate gaming. Which makes you wonder exactly what share of that 100 million went to iPad versions of the game. Must be a lot for such a bold claim. |
