Earlier today, a Battlefield Hardline rep confirmed on Twitter that the game is currently suffering from server issues on both the PS4 and Xbox One. EA have acknowledged that they are aware of the problem and are working around the clock to fix it. Additionally, the Xbox One version of the game was the target of a DDoS attack yesterday that has since been resolved.
DICE encountered a series of server issues when it released Battlefield 4 back in 2013. This is the main reason why the studio is now taking its time to make Battlefield 5 solid. Today’s development surely will give fans a sense of déjà vu and if the issue isn’t resolved soon, this won’t bode well for the series moving forward.
I’ve been playing Battlefield Hardline ’s campaign and I’m personally enjoying every minute of it. However, I know most people buy these types of games for the multiplayer and in those regards I hope these server issues get ironed out sooner rather than later.
