Yesterday, we reported about the new launch date for Call of Duty: Ghost ’s Onslaught DLC. What we didn’t say was that the trailer for the DLC was set to the iconic Halloween horror theme. We thought it was just a coincidence, something to make the new Extinction map even creepier. It turns out, we were wrong.
The new Onslaught DLC will actually let you play as famed horror movie serial killer Michael Myers on the new Fog map. Meyers will have a ton of HP but will carry an axe, making him kind of like a Juggernaut Maniac. To be able to play as him, players will have to find and complete and special field order on the map. When they succeed, the music will change to the Halloween theme in order to alter other players that danger is near.
For now, it is unclear as if the other Multiplayer maps, Bayview, Containment, and Ignition, will have cool map specific field orders, but we hope they do. If not, we hope that further DLC packs include maps with special field orders. This is a really interesting twist for a Call of Duty map and we hope that Activision plays around with this idea more in the future.
