By now we’ve all heard about the Xbox 360 Slim that was announced by Microsoft at this year’s E3. With its built in WiFi, 250 GB hard drive, sleek glossy black finish, and potentially less red ring of death prone innards, the $299 price tag seemed like a decent value when compared to the Xbox’s current Elite sku. However, the confusing bit was, will this be the only Slim bundle being made available?  According to IGN’s Jim Reilly, Microsoft has confirmed that they’ll not only be releasing a $199 Xbox 360 Slim sku this fall, but they will also soon be reducing the price of the older Xbox 360s by $50 in order to help clear space for their newer models. So if you’re looking to upgrade to a newer Slim Xbox, or just want to cash in on the discounts coming from its release, you should have plenty of options shortly. |
