Earlier today, Disney Infinity Executive Producer John Vignocchi announced in a PlayStation blog post that Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is finally coming to the PS Vita on May 9. Players who decide to pick up this version of the game will be rewarded with an exclusive Black Suit Spider-Man figure.
The Vita version of Disney Infinity 2.0 was first announced during Sony’s PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas last December. The same game launched on several other consoles last September.
While it’s great to hear that Vita owners can finally have a chance to play this game, the timing is definitely off. Now that we know Disney Infinity 3.0 is in development, wouldn’t it just make more sense for all the focus to be on the portable version of that game instead? That is a question that will definitely be raised by some, but most likely won’t impact the sales of this game in any way.
Are any of you planning on buying this game for your vita? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
