Dragon Quest X Bundled In Japan

Dragon Quest X Bundled In Japan

None

It’s only natural that, for one as beloved in its native land as it is, the latest entry in the Dragon Quest series (and the first to play exclusively online) should receive an extravagant bundle package at launch. Dragon Quest X’s has just been announced and it certainly seems to cover all the bases of a Wii-buying Dragon Quest fanatic.

Rather than tchotkes and memorabilia, the Dragon Quest X Wii bundle is aimed squarely at function: It includes a black Wii console, matching Wii Remote Plus, a similarly obsidian Classic Controller Pro, a USB memory stick, and the game itself, as well as a 1000 yen pre-paid Nintendo Card (most likely good for the subscription fee). Interestingly, it doesn’t explicitly state that the box comes with a Nunchuk. The price for all of this? 25,000 yen, or about US$310.

Is there any chance of this sort of treatment coming to the West? Unlikely, but we will perhaps, at least, get the box that bundles the game with the USB memory stick, necessary for downloading updates and DLC for the game.
