E3 2016: Pokemon Sun & Moon Tidbits Revealed

E3 2016: Pokemon Sun & Moon Tidbits Revealed

Nintendo revealed several new details about Pokemon Sun & Moon today during its Treehouse stream at E3.  We were able to see some gameplay near the start of the game, and some interesting details came out.

The UI has been designed and looks appropriate to the Alola region’s tropical setting. Players have access to more information during battle, such as being able to check which stats have been raised or lowered during battle. The battlefield also shows a wider view, and the trainer is visible standing behind the Pokemon in battle.

There’s a new multiplayer battle mode in which four players battle each other. When the first player’s Pokemon are all knocked out, the battle is over, and players are ranked by their performance in the battle.  It’s called Battle Royale.

Finally, the ability to change your outfit was confirmed to be returning from Pokemon X/Y . My fellow female trainer players, let’s hope we can swap that abomination of a hat out ASAP.

Several new Pokemon were shown during the playthrough as well. You can see them on Pokemon.com . They certainly have a bit of a tropical flair to them.

Pokemon Sun & Moon are out on November 18, 2016.
